About Us:

Founded by Paul Weight over a decade ago, Tandridge Archers was born from my long-standing passion for archery. My journey with archery began at a young age with a hand-carved longbow made from English Yew by my father.

Throughout the years, I’ve engaged in numerous sports, but archery always drew me back. I spent countless holidays on various ranges across Europe, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow archers, learning from each other, and participating in friendly competitions.

My path to becoming an instructor and coach began unexpectedly after my daughter’s activity party, which included archery. Since 2014, I’ve been an Archery GB Instructor, and I am now also an AGB Level 2 Development Coach and Coach Developer. I am affiliated with Archery GB, the Southern Counties Archery Association, the County of Surrey Archery Association, and UK Coaching. I am fully insured and hold enhanced DBS certifications from both AGB and The Scouts association, Safeguarding and child protection. Along with being a member of the Archery GB Instructor Focus group, I am involved in the AGB Neurodiverse Training Development.

I have a close working relationship with the East Surrey Scouts group and previously collaborated with the Village Youth Group. Tandridge Archers is proud to be part of Archery GB’s Archery Activity Partner programme.

In partnership with Archery GB, we serve as ambassadors for the sport, actively promoting campaigns and events. Our sessions are led by trained, Archery GB qualified, and competent staff. We are passionate about sport inclusion, ensuring a fully inclusive experience.

Testimonial:

Paul at Tandridge Archers ran a corporate team event for us and we all agree the day was great fun, informative and provided an excellent environment for team building. Paul was really patient with the group and was a brilliant tutor throughout. The challenges were great with some fun games and some friendly competition. We will do it again and definitely recommend to others.
